I could get used to all this free time. I love my family, but geez, it's amazing what I can get done when I'm not interrupted to deal with meals and laundry and other pesky matters.
So, a few days I painted a bunch of component parts...
And today I started cutting them up and stitching them back together.
I don't have a plan, but I'm having fun and loving how these are looking.
Who knows what'll happen tomorrow?
I've been lurking, watching what you've been doing during and since your class with Gerry. It's wonderful where you are taking your new inspiration. I love these sliced bits, but what's best is how you've taken a technique learned in a class and made it completely your own. No one would ever call these pieces derivative of Gerry's work, and yet, you probably wouldn't have made them had you not taken her class. Kudos!
ReplyDeleteIf you saw my Wonky Geese quilt, you'll know how much I love the orange/green/purple colour palette. And your fabric is looking just fab all ripped and rearranged!
ReplyDeleteLove what you're doing with these. Can't wait to see what else happens.
ReplyDeleteTHESE are so cool. I love what you are doing with them.
ReplyDeleteOMG! I love these.
