wow! What a nice stack of fabric! It must have been fun to hold all those different fabrics. Thoughts about what you can make of these must have crossed your mind.
I love sorting, ironing, folding and piling them up like that. But then, about 5 minutes later, they're back to being all over the place. nevertheless - a very zen thing to do. And beautiful to see.
OMG, that's exactly what I put on my schedule to do this weekend....attack that BIG, BIG piled-2ft-high rubbermaid container of fabrics that have yet to make it onto my working shelf. Went looking the other day to see if I had any batiks in that gigantic pile for a piece I'm working on and found 25!!!!!! Whoa!
BTW.......if you find you have no use for the brown/black pile and the red/oranges pile send them to me. I promise I'll keep them as nicely folded as you have just finished doing.
Deosn't it just make you wonder... How the heck did I collect all this? My stash is pretty modest compared to yours but I still ponder as to it's "unexplained" growth. Of course I could always take a few pieces off your hands... you know- to help out.
Could I just pull out that one second from the bottom of the greens to have a look, and maybe just take out that fourth oup on the purples..... ooops, did I ruin your piles?!
OMG - You MUST be feeling back up to snuff .. that is one heck of a lot of work !
ReplyDeleteSigh - look at all those beautiful batiks, the promise of joy!
