Tutorials, anyone?

There is so much talent on this ring, and such incredible sharing.

To celebrate that, I'm making a list of the great art quilty tutorials available among the ring members which I'll post here in the next few days. I've found quite a few, but I'm sure I'm missing some and I don't want to leave anything out!

SO-- If you have a tutorial or lesson or series of posts about how you went from idea to finished quilt (with photos), or if you know of any on an AQ ring blog, email me with the links and I will add it to my COMPENDIUM of INFORMATIVE TUTORIALS for all to share.

We are SO talented.

Dear Diane,
I've been going to the Marin quilt show for a few years, and I went again this year, not having heard anything about a change in the type of show. I feel cheated. I would never pay $8 to just go shopping. They exploited the reputation of the Marin quilt show by using the same timeslot, and calling it a "..Quilt..Show" to lure in the regulars. I hope your sister had a successful sale, but the PCM Expo folk are unethical, to put it politely.

No one knew WHAT to expect this year. I heard some people who agreed with you, and others who knew what PCM's Sew/Quilt/Embroidery shows are like and were impressed at the quality of this one and at the abundance of fabric. Many folks, who'd heard about the disbanding of the Marin guild which had always held a quilt show in previous years, were pleased to see at least the nice quilts from the Mt. Tam guild. I understand your reaction...you should contact PCM and let them know. I do know that their signs and flyers all advertised it as PCM's Sewing, Quilting and Embroidery show, but I'll bet that the folks who expected the usual guild quilt show didn't really pay attention to the signs and literature. I guess it's all the more reason to support the local guilds and their shows.

I don't know if this post is clear enought to qualify as a tutorial but I called them O-Bags because when she showed me how to do the folding all I could say was "OH!" (how cool)...
